Today, Ford Philippines has taken the wraps off the 2002 Ford Ranger SVT Pinatubo Edition II. Priced at a modest P1.035 million, the production is limited to 80 units nationwide.

Big changes have been done to refresh the exterior of the car including new Racing Blue Metallic paint and chrome plated 15-inch alloy wheels. The Ranger also receives standard front bullbars with integrated front fog lamps and built-in skid plates. Illuminated side stepboards are included as well. An engine snorkel is installed on the driver' side. The grille is now color-keyed with the paint and a styling bar has been added with an integrated third brake lamp to improve safety.

The Ranger SVT receives the usual touches such as 'SVT' badging, Pinatubo decals and pin stripe stickers.

Inside, the Ranger SVT Pinatubo Edition II gets combination black-and-blue leather seats, 4-spoke leather steering wheel and gearshift knob.

Mechanically, the Ranger SVT maintains the use of its class leading 117-bhp 2.5-liter turbo-diesel engine as well as its usual array of safety equipment including: dual airbags, side-impact beams and limited slip differential or LSD.
