If Audi went the route of turbo-charging their M5 competitor (see Audi RS6), Jaguar launched their own executive road rocket, the Jaguar S-Type R. The main difference is the engine.

From the top-end 4.0-liter DOHC V8 engine, Jaguar bored an additional 196 cc and added a supercharger.  In effect, the S-Type R produces an M5 equal 400 bhp.  It also produces 563 Nm of torque.

Mated to a six-speed automatic, the S-Type R is still a rear-wheel drive car that is expected to hit 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds.  It comes with 245 / 40 ZR 18 tires up front and 275 / 35 ZR 18 tires at the back.
