IRVINE, Calif., – Vanity Fair readers
won't believe their eyes this month as Lincoln captures 20-pages in a
unique advertising portfolio and gives readers the first-ever glimpse of
Lincoln's all-new mid-size SUV, the 2003 Aviator. The special
advertising spread featured in Vanity Fair's April "Hollywood" issue
highlights the new Aviator and partners Lincoln's other luxury vehicles
with high-profile stars from TV, film and music. The issue hits
newsstands March 12.
The Aviator was inspired by Navigator, Lincoln's popular full-size SUV that originally defined the luxury SUV market, and closely follows the same design direction. The difference in size between the two SUV's is seen in the Lincoln photo as the vehicles are displayed side by side along with Martin Sheen of NBC's The West Wing and his daughter, Renee Estevez. The all-new 2003 Lincoln Aviator offers a distinctive design and athletic performance, along with the most flexible seating, roomiest cabin and best towing capability in its class. Built on a 113.7-inch wheelbase with flexible seating for up to seven adults. It has an advanced dual overhead cam, four-valve V-8 engine that produces at least 300 horsepower, a sophisticated four-wheel independent suspension and available all-wheel drive. It is also an ultra-low emissions vehicle. The 2003 Lincoln Aviator makes its public debut at the New York Auto Show later this month. The Lincoln Aviator will arrive in dealer showrooms this summer. |
