It seems that Skoda as a brand is keen on reinventing themselves as a brand of the corporate VW family.

The Czech-based manufacturer launched the Superb large family saloon at the Geneva Motorshow--a nameplate that has been a famous model from Skoda's heyday.

Actually a clone of the Volkswagen Passat, the Superb is centimeters longer adding to the comfort of the passengers, particularly those at the rear. Beyond this, the rest is typical VW: the 2.0-liter 8V 115-bhp engine, the 1.8-liter 20V 150-bhp engine and the top range 2.8-liter V6 that's good for 193 bhp. Beyond this, the Superb will come with turbo diesel power plants, particularly the 2.5-liter 150-bhp V6 TDI.
