BMW debuted the luxury crossover vehicle with the X5 so it's surprising they took a cautious second step with the Mk. II. Bigger in everyway, the all-new X5 looks too similar to the previous one. Brand-new engines are way smoother and ride/handling combination still the one to beat. New 7-seater configuration, though tight, adds more utility and cargo space.
Finally equal parts sports sedan and equal parts luggage hauler.
Huge price increase.
