This 1937 Mercedes-Benz 320 cabriolet was much used by the infamous Nazis before and during World War 2. A far cry from what the Mercedes CLK 320 Cabriolet is now today.

This Merc from 1938 doesn't look like Nazi officer transport at all.  It's sleek and curvaceous.  It has a great name, too: the 540K Special Phaeton. This example is for sale, for no less than $1.5 million

I'll give you one guess as to who rode in this vehicle.  Yes, Pope John Paul II himself used this bulletproof popemobile after the failed attempt on his life.

Seems that earlier Popes had to make do with to Chrysler Imperials.  This was from 1966 and was used by Pope Paul VI.

The 100 millionth(!) vehicle build by Ford in the USA was this 1978 Ford Futura.

The original Chrysler 300M.  The new 300M has a similar 4-headlamp glare and large grille.
