| Though rear seats cannot
be folded flat to the floor, the RAV4's can be lifted and stowed to give
better luggage space. It look us quite a while plus an attendant from the
showroom to get it right, sheez. |
Clearly, the RAV4's design is still
derived from the previous version. However, key differences make this one
all the more handsome: aggressive stance, fatter tires, the the Land Cruiser-like
roof line are just some of them. |

| Inside, there are full of shiny bits
to keep Audi happy. However, there are still some cheapo bits such as window
switches. Color scheme and fabric type reminds us of a pair of Nike Airs. |
The new interior has been revised
to give a more sporty design. The vents are particularly a nice touch (they
came from the Celica). A premium 10 CD changer and sliver trimmings complete
the package. |

| Nope, those aren't two sets of fog
lights. This is one of the few design flaws of the RAV4: Toyota should
have considered putting the signal light inside that huge cluster instead
of underneath. |
They don't make SUVs like they used
to, huh? Some people might consider the new gauges of the RAV4 funky (you
haven't seen the Echo's), but they are great to look at. Central tacho
is a rare sight in a Jap. car nowadays. |
