Aside from the changes done to the Z4's exterior and drivetrain, BMW has re-thought the interior to make it more harmonious with the rest of the car. The center console, once dominated by a brushed aluminum piece has been replaced by galvanized aluminum--giving a much better and much more elegant appearance. The three-spoke steering wheel too has been changed to incorporate new split-type spokes with the same galvanized aluminum appearance as the center console. Like before, the Z4 features standard sport bucket seats with power adjust and automatic climate control. Answering to demands of tech-oriented owners, the Z4 now comes standard with a 6-disc CD changer with full MP3 compatibility. While everyone else is joining on the folding metal top bandwagon, BMW has retained the canvas roof for the Z4. However, this is no ordinary canvas top, as the complex folding mechanism allows for a fast 16 second operation as well as a relatively large 260 liters of luggage space. Whether the changes done to the BMW Z4 roadster are enough, only the market can tell. In an ever crowded market, BMW hopes that an all-out, uncompromising roadster will still have room for the enthusiast's heart (and wallet). For now though, it would be best to rush to your nearest BMW dealer to check out the Z4 roadster. For more information about the BMW Z4 roadster, visit any of the following BMW dealerships:
